Has anyone tried these in vintage doubles? I saw them @ Walmart & picked up a pack of 12 bore.

Ten bucks, for four shells, to clean a gun I can do with two minutes of time. They look like they do the job but is it worth the price? That is a personal question so I guess it is a personal decision.

I realize the associated cost of say $8-$9 per 4 pack but at times you have shot all day in the rain / elements & are going to shoot again tomorrow & have a truckload of game to clean in the field. This would be a quick fix in the field to defer a proper cleaning till tomorrow? I also wonder how it will fare in tubes w/ pitting / minor pitting? Just questions for now. But in a double that would be a $4 brace of cleaning...

At several hundred feet per second, passing only in one direction I don 't see how it can do much more than just wipe down the bore as it goes past. Gimmick.

I keep that in mind but some aspect of it brought it to the peddling booth of Walmart? Given as a 2 3/4 Dram Eq. at 1050 fps.

I'm with KYJon on this one. Can't see the usefulness. If I've hunted in the rain, or have sweat all over the gun from an early season dove shoot, I'm still going to disassemble, clean, dry and oil it. Wiping the bores out only takes a few more seconds.

No matter the amount of game to clean and dress ...............

............... my guns come first.
