J.V. Howe rifle found at Missouri Valley Show Here are some pictures from Dan of the J.V. Howe rifles that he owns, these show elements of style that are relatively uncommon and can aid in identifying J.V. Howe stocks.
the use of circular punches at the tips of checkering patterns

These are my descriptions, I am sure that Dan can add more information and corrections if need be. I will add some more pictures of my rifle to show similarities.
