If you were going to sell 4-6 mid-grade (say $2000-6000 value) British and European guns at auction, whom would you use as the auction house and why?

I'm downsizing the accumulation and on-line listings (including a couple on this site) haven't been productive. Gunbroker, on which I've sold a number of guns of lesser value with penny auctions and no reserves seems not to be a good choice for guns of this nature. So I'm looking for recommendations.

if you know the value of your items, then gunsinternational can work...and, unlike many auction houses, gi does not charge 20 percent plus fees, to both buyer and seller....

My opinion, worth every penny it cost you, is that is a tough price range to be in today, especially if you are talking 12 gauge guns. It isnt 1987 anymore, and the guys interested in good doubles are getting fewer in number, not greater.

I wish you all the luck in the world, but, Im guessing we are all going to reckon with a new model for gun pricing. I think the house cut at most auction houses today will price the actual purchaser of the gun at a severe loss.

Heirs may not care about such things. So it goes.

Best,
Ted

I mentioned Redding to someone from Warrington, but I don't know whether it was you or someone else.
