If I wanted to offload some Pliessners, Bensons, Osthaus and the likes, where should I do it if I don't want to go through an auction house or dealer?

Oils or prints?
Take some quality pictures, list them here.
Prints move reasonably quick, oils more slowly.
If no movement, auction house. One of the Euro houses has an annual sporting art show. Whole catalogue of just dogs, or horses, or hounds, etc.
I'd be interested in them, as long as I knew where they were being listed.
Care to tempt me with an Osthaus oil?
Post a pic. Pls.
Out there doing it best I can.

American sporting artists probably wouldn't do as well in the Euro auction houses as they would here.
Those names are very desirable both in originals and in original prints.

So I don't have any of the aforementioned artists' work yet but I do have a 20x16, signed print of New England Grouse Shooting by William Hardnen Foster. I'm starting to collect and sell SxSs and now sporting art; I know where to sell the guns (Gunsinternational) but wasn't sure where to sell the art. Thanks for your insights and if I come across an Osthaus oil I'll let you know!

Copley has offered some magnificent original sporting art, "flat", sculpted, cast and carved. I have bought at their auction vintage gunning shorebird decoys. A friend's Lynn Bogue Hunt Bobwhite Quail water color sold for $118,000 years ago in a Copley auction. It had been the basis for an ammo company advertisement. Stevie O'Brien, Copley's owner, has changed the game when it comes to illustrated catalogs with excellent photos and descriptions. Gil

A "signed print of New England Grouse Shooting by William Harnden Foster" is a physical impossibility as Foster died in 1941 and New England Grouse Shooting was published posthumously in 1942....

Yeah, I made an inquiry with Copley and am awaiting a reply. They may not be interested in a print though...DAM16SXS, it's not a signed book but a picture/image of the image/picture that's on the front of the book, if that makes sense. I'd post pictures if I knew how
