Are there any side by side clubs in Arizona?

SxS 40,
Here on my SEAZ ranch we have like minded aficionados shooting vintage iron occasionally. No club just cow pasture fun.

Not to my knowledge.

The Copper State Double Gun charity event was organized about 10 years ago; held at Ben Avery. It started as the Southwest Double Gun Expo

I represented the LCSCA there once

I'm afraid the organizer has tried to present a high-end Vintagers-like event, which has not worked well here in the Southwest. More jeans and cowboy hats than breeks and tweed.

For double gun fondling, one can't beat William Larkin Moore. Their focus is on new Italian and Spanish doubles, but they usually have some nice classic American and British also

The next issue of the LCSCA Journal will have a report and pics from Mike's shoot. I should have gotten a pic of Kathleen's lunch spread! smile

I can't answer about S x S clubs but I once shot m/l S x Ss at the Ben Avery Range north of Phoenix with a friend who lived in AR but wintered in Phoenix. AIR, there were other S x S shooters there that day as well.

It was a very laid back atmosphere that day, but it may have been planned by those particular participants.

Best, SRH

Yep, Ben Avery has about every shooting competition possible, including Southwest Nationals Long Range Shooting Competition and the SASS Winter Range for the Cowboy Action and Wild Bunch shooters

And BLM is building 5 more public ranges

In that bottom picture, I wouldn't want to be the trapper seated at the table. He's too far out in front of the gunner for my comfort.

Other than that it looks like big fun. I had to enlarge the pic several times to see the clay bird, but it's there.

Stan, as we increased our yardage to 30+ my daughter Sarah noted what you did. Design team worked out solutions (longer cords)!
