I ventured outside my comfort zone and bought at auction an English double, a William Powell & Son, serial number 3727. I think it started life as a pinfire. And I don't think it was ever a high-end gun. I'm suspicious that the forend is not original. I will upload pictures shortly. Can we glean anything from that serial number? Thanks in advance.

If you have pics stored on your computer or apple product, its easy to upload them using IMGBB. Google it and its free. Also easy to use.

Does not appear to be a Powell conversion. More pictures, please Can you provide the "Powell's Patent" number from the action flat.
