I recognized the unusual forend release because I shoot doves with mine every year. I think mine is a lower grade...Geo

agreeing with george, the forearm release is instantly recognizable as scott device....i have a 1893 monte carlo with very similar style engraving.

I have a reprint of the Scott catalog with my gun in it. Mine's marked "Not for Ball". There were several grades shown with this forend treatment...Geo
