I'm in month 20 of a 15 month wait for a Shiloh. Time drags.

Tip: The Anson latch actuator button and shaft is held to the foreend iron by a set screw that takes a .050" hex as I recall. I suggest you locktite that set screw.

Ask me how i know this....

You'll like your Rizzini. I like mine, and I did find the latch button on the skeet field!

The set screw is of course 1.5 mm.

Jonesey, Thanks for the headsup on the latch. I'm on it.

Beautiful gun, Chuck. I wouldn't mind having a 30" 28 gauge like that one.

If I knew I had ten year more allotted to me, well twelve with the wait, I’d order one for myself. But with 32” barrels. Yours is a nice looking double as I have seen in a long time. Hope you get to enjoy it for a very long time.

Any reason why it would take two years to receive? I too am looking at Rizzini guns and was thinking of ordering one special as well.

That's spectacular. The wood is beyond that. Just perfect.

Mike,
I don't know why they took so long. I kept my order to a standard optioned gun, except the wood, just to keep it from becoming a long term project. I was quoted something like 3-6 months, IIRC.

I kept checking in with John Mogle at Rizzini USA after that time had passed every few months. It went to a year and I almost pulled my deposit in Aug 2019. For the next year I was busy at work, then retired in Jan, then covid, and finally, I realized I still had this gun on order and was definitely going to cancel it early this July. They checked with Italy and evidently my order was located and fast tracked. So, they can build a gun in a month if it's at the top of the stack.

You might call John Mogle and have him check with Italy to see what their ability/capacity is at this time. Covid hit that area of Italy harder than most. We were actually planning a vacation to that area before covid.

Who is John Mogle and what is his relationship with previous owners of the Rizzini USA brand? Is this the same Rizzini brand that Tony Galazan and others owned?

Murph, from their website...

About Rizzini USA
Rizzini USA is owned and operated by Fierce Products in Gunnison, Utah. The CEO of Fierce Products is John Mogle. John has been in the firearms business for over 18 years and knows what it takes to deliver a product that not only meets the customer’s expectations but exceeds their expectations in both quality and customer service. Fierce Products and Rizzini USA will stand behind every sporting arm that they sell. They offer a three year unconditional mechanical parts warranty on all shotguns distributed by Fierce. There is no better time than now to get Rizzini.

The Rizzini name is used by at least 4 different companies in Italy that I'm aware of.

FAIR/Rizzini, B. Rizzini, F.lli Rizzini, and E. Rizzini. There may be others current or past.

Chuck's new gun is made by B. Rizzini (Battista) in Marcheno V.T. Italy, as is mine.

There is some question in my mind if Fierce Products is actually the 'exclusive' importer of B. Rizzini at this time as they claim.

WLM in Scottsdale claims to import B. Rizzini, but my gun which is dated 2007 by the Italian proof house is marked 'Hi Grade Imports ' on the keel rib. It is also marked 'William Larkin Moore' on the barrels.

Cole did import and service B. Rizzini for a time. I don't know about CSMC. In any event, they certainly never 'owned' any Rizzini name.

Battista has a reputation as being difficult to deal with. If this is true or not is likely subject to point of view, but the fact is that B. Rizzini has had several importers over the years.
