I had not idea Paul Scholberg peddled upper rung Belgian offerings, much less a >>Superbritte<<. I sure would like to see the marks on it but not @ $28,500. I bet Bob Jones brought this into the U.S. of A. early on...... https://www.gunsinternational.com/g...ium/scholberg-liege.cfm?gun_id=100967430Serbus, Raimey rse

Looks like the left side of the top tang has cracked and has been repaired, no extra charge for that or the gouges from the oversized screw driver.

I owned a 12 version of that gun but not nearly as embellished. First recall an article in Gun Digest about a Superbritte and just had to have one. About 20 years later I did find a very nice example. Could not hit the side of a barn with it. It was a disappointment to say the least. So I sold it to a Doctor in KY who I doubt ever shot it. He just liked it for its looks. Funny thing is about five years later a hoard of them was found, imported and finished up. Having satisfied my itch I was not tempted in the least.

If I recall correctly, it was Griffin & Howe that brought the board to the US. I seem to remember there being a couple of dozen all told. I saw some of them in their Bernardsville, NJ shop and fell in lust, but the price far exceeded my resources at the time. It still does.
