I found this MAF - 3 Ringe Stahl Stamp of Manifattura Armi Faverzani Brescia / Pietro Faverzani interesting wearing the name >>Diana<<. There are some other stamps which escape me for the moment. Seems the Krupp trademark easily found its way to Italy pre-WWII. Pietro Faverzani looks to have made several interesting sidelocks before his passing at the young age of 59 in 1945.

The Shotgun Forums discussion references Lames shotguns. I worked in a Woolco sporting goods department in the mid-1970s while in graduate school. They sold Lames shotguns. I actually owned one briefly, which I bought after swapping out the forend with another one because the forend release lever had been damaged. It was fairly inexpensive. I ended up trading it for something else, one of the many guns that has come and gone over the years. I remember as being reasonably well made for its price point, but having very plain wood.

What might have been the barrel steel type?
