Fellows, Does anyone know if a shotgun barrel wall thickness gauge is available from anyone besides Hosford? I would like the type that is mounted vertically on a steel pedestal. I’ve seen dealers with them and I believe they were English made. Thanks, Sandlapper

If you buy one make sure it has a little spring or spring backed lever in the back side. Holds the off bore side so you can get consistent reading of the wall thickness measurements.

Thanks guys, I think I will get one from Galazan. It looks to be what I’m looking for.

There was a fellow from the UK that constructed and marketed wall thickness gauges. IIRC, his name was Bob Brown and he was a friend of the late Bill Wise. I met Bob when visited the Southern SxS event years ago. Don't know if he's still in the business of selling shotgun accessories; maybe a search will turn up something.
BTW, the link to the Galazan gauge posted above gives me a 404 message using three different browsers.
