Truth be told I shot all singles with the WS1/right barrel
and used my selector to fire the .012 constriction at the out goer on all pairs.
Local knowledge or over thinking ??

After my lost bird on round three I shot the pairs WS1 then WS2, it didn't seem to matter, they all broke.

Modern skeet is shot with both birds on the close side of the field, and in the same place or close to it. It is true that "old time" skeet was shot with the outgoing bird shot on the far side of the field with the tight bored barrel. The need for this tight bored barrel for a 32 or 33 yard outgoer expired before the beginning of World War 2. Bob Cash's great score is a result of his skill with a shotgun, not his adherence to modern skeet procedures. That is a wonderful Model 21, Bob.

Thanks for posting that, all who participated. My 20 ga Tourn. Skeet 26" (sk-1,sk2) is out for minor repair. I'll measure the chokes when she comes back and report in. I don't fuss with the barrel selector when shooting skeet; for me, there are enough other things to think about when I call for the bird. Mine has a slight bit of cast on and I am thinking seriously about restocking it this winter. Gil
