I have a 1967 Superposed of which I am the original owner. The warranty card shows my name and the serial number of the gun. The warranty is for the lifetime of the original owner. Did Browning offer this warranty on other models, such as the A-5 (also made in Belgium)?

As an aside, how many of you have a Superposed and are the original owner?

I think only the Superposed had a lifetime warrant. I own several but I bought them all used. I almost never buy new when there’s so many good used ones at lesser cost.

My late father had one, Super, which he bought for my brothers Christmas present in 1962. Silly brother decided he wanted a rifle for deer more and father kept the Super and brother got a Winchester 94 which I always thought was a very bad trade. He had the card for the Super in his lock box when he died. The Super sits on the top pegs of one of my gun display cases. I do not recall if he ever registered it when he bought it. Too late now. SO I am the third owner of the same gun in my family.

Jon, it might not be too late to register the gun. I registered mine 30 years after it was bought by my late father. For some reason, he never bothered to register it.

When I was much younger two things would improve the used gun values. If it were a Browning Super and the tag came along with the gun and it had not been filled in it would bring a bit more money. The second thing was any pistol which pre-dated 1968 fire arm act and had never been registered. Long guns were not as valued but unregistered pistols certainly were. In fact I doubt nay of my fathers hand guns or long guns had been registered when bought because there were no registrations back then. As to the Browning the friends who shot them a lot had very, very few problems with them that ever required repairs. The odd firing pin might need to be replaced but they all were before the salt wood problems.
