Quick tip, don't shoot it through the foam and toilet paper, and it's easier to clean.

Cleaned out the freezer of dove yesterday and cooked my 94 year-old mom sauteed dove medallions, medium rare, with sauteed fresh-foraged chanterelles and Basmati rice with an arugula salad followed up with blueberry/Belgian waffle cone ice cream. Her favorite meal. Gil

Dove are one of my favorite meals. I have about six different ways to make them and all are great. Few last until two weeks before opening day. I admire your resolve to make them last. I see bacon and think that would look great on a dove.

Dove are one of my favorite meals. I have about six different ways to make them and all are great. Amen, brother, amen. I am not a glutton by any stretch. Most people that know me say I eat very sparingly. I weigh 168 lbs. and am 6'2". But, when it comes to doves my resolve goes away faster than a fart in a whirlwind. I have eaten 14 bacon wrapped/grilled doves at one sitting, and 17 simmered all afternoon in gravy. This thread is near and dear to my heart.
