Stallones: This buttplate is pictured in Semmer's excellent "Remington Double Shotguns" book, on page 115 with the following caption: "This is the type of buttplate used on a heavy 10-gauge Model 1885 in Grade 5. I have not found this plate on any other 1885 or 1887. Plates used on light 10-gauges and other grades have the ERS logo within a circle." Bill Last edited by Bill Janssen; 07/22/07 11:19 PM.
