Arquebusier Oudinot Berthier, I would guess to be undoubtedly French, so French sourced??? I have seen that platform prior so let me ponder.....

Puškař V.J. Cakl v. Ronovè in Bohemia...... All just wild speculation for now.

Very lifelike stock carvings.

Presumably the hunter leaning on his muzzles is telling the guy with his hand over his muzzles all about gun safety, or vice versa?

It may be a Bastin slide action. Berthier I think was French as Bertier bolt action rifles were used by the French in WW I. Digging around I found an Oudinot in part of Paris. The carving is very Austrian in influence though. Someone will no doubt come up with the answer. Certainly a lot of work has gone into it! Lagopus.....

According book of Vladimir Dolinek / Cesti Puskari / page 25
..
Cakl Vaclav
Ronov nad Doubravou
...
Translation of 4-line details
-----
CAKL (Zackl,ZAKL) Vaclav (W.J.)
Ronov at Doubrava
Born 1813 in Ouhrove (father Vaclal Zakel , carpenter in Ronove)
Permit (?) 1837 (Wedding), 1838 -1862 (birth od children)
----
..
Google provides you detail on "Ronov nad Doubravou" / is town in Czech district of Chrudim
..
A.m.book of Dolinek and also book of Hans 'Schedelmann have several photos of
high-grade guns of genuine Bohemian/Czech origin with gunstock-engraving.
Seems to be have been a usual embelishment-feature at this time.
...
In this case a de-luxe French gun, retailed by Cakl in Ronov/Bohemia and possibly
embelished with gunstock-engraving in Bohemia
...
Cheers
F.N.

Yes, possibly a Bastin-Lepage contraption:
