That Burgess is a really cool gun! Can you really hunt with seven shells or does local law require limiting capacity to three?...Geo

Depends on where he’s hunting. Kansas is ok with no plugs.

Just a heads up. I recently bought some 2” shells from RST, so at least in the last month they had stock.

This low resolution ad appeared on ebay listed as 1940. Griffin & Howe "Featherweight" 2" by "American's premier gunsmiths". No information on an internet search. Cornell Pubs does not have a c. 1940 catalog repro

Cornell Pubs does not have a c. 1940 catalog repro I'd be curious what they sold for back then. It looks like it is probably an S&W action and barrels - and I suppose wood as well, since is stays "imported" walnut.

Westley Richards had one of the G&H guns for sale 6-8 years ago. It looked new: case colors were 95% or better, barrel blue was great along with the stock. It had 26” barrels and weighed around 5 lbs 5oz.

The bluing on that one is a bit different. Rather dull/matte more than normal, but perhaps it is just the photo. The action is a modified S&W, but the rib is unique and perhaps the reason that the letting for 2" case only is not quite the same as most other S&W guns. It has the JA stamps on the barrels too. It's a nice one. I wonder what it sold for.
