I have recently been gifted a Western Arms Branch Ithaca Gun Co. “Long Range Gun” in .410 with 26” barrels. It was made in made in 1941. The family story is my grandfather purchased it from Beaufort Hardware in Beaufort, South Carolina that same year. It is in good to very good shape.
As best I can tell right now, the only issue is it is missing the rear tang screw (bolt or pin) and the screw which attaches the trigger guard at the front of the guard. I have checked the normal places under both Western Arms and Nitro Special since many of the parts are interchangeable. I have had no luck. Does anyone have a suggestion of where else to look or perhaps have these screws sitting around and are willing to part with them?
In the alternative, can anyone suggest a gunsmith to make the necessary screws?
