This is old data, obviously things change, and no U.S. ammo maker is sharing pressures for their loads
Super-Target 1 oz. TRGTL12 was 10,440 psi

Sorry if I missed it, but is your Francotte a Pigeon gun? Game gun? Weight? What is the DOM?

Thank you Drew. I'm sure the pressure hasn't come down so I'll avoid them and opt for the AA version or the LNLR load moving at 980fps.

The Francotte is most definitely a game gun, 12 bore and 26" barrels at 6lbs. Expand on DOM? Barrel Wall Thickness is greater than .025".

If made post-1921 it will carry a date code, usually at the top (muzzle end) of the proof marks on the barrel flats

Are the chambers 2 3/4"? B&P Comp One 1 oz. @ 6500 psi are great shells.

I'm not seeing a post-1921 date stamp on the barrel flats which doesn't surprise me. Serial number is 19825 though. I'll check out those B&Ps; already have a flat of Gambore 2.5" shells just don't want to pay $18/box.

Any idea of the grade of gun? Or the level of embellishment? Dating via serial number can be a bit tricky as they had different runs of serial numbers somewhat depending on grade. The info I have puts DOM at either the early to mid 1890s or right around 1940.

Not sure of grade but it's nicely embellished with a pretty piece of wood. Most likely the 1890s version as it has beautifully rebrowned, damascus barrels.

Tough hunting out there for ammo. Everyone is currently out of stock for the B&P Comp One

Well if it were my gun, I would only use stated low pressure, relatively light rounds in it. Not that worried about the barrels....more the effect of recoil on the action and the wood over time. Unless they have been previously lengthened, the chambers are most likely set up for 2 1/2" rounds, not 2 3/4" rounds.
