I am looking to re-furbish an oak and leather case and am in need for some parts.
The handle assembly and the strap guides.
Any idea if there are places to find them?

Mike, Try contacting folks who restore leather luggage. When I needed leather case corners, I found a guy in England who makes them.

Both are easy to make. George P. may have some on hand. Go to a Tandy store and buy some 3-5 oz leather straps. Trace the old guides or cut to the size need, wet, mold around 1/8 or 1/4” wood, and let dry. Punch some holes for brass screws. Thee was a poster on EBay, from the UK, who sold cases traps. He may have some.

Good luck.

They might be able to help you. Lot of good information to help. There are a couple good Youtube videos which cover gun case repairs as well.

It will all depend what age of case you have. Vintage oak and Leather cases use simple replaceable parts that usually be sourced on eBay, Straps are Vege tanned Bridal leather available in various widths and lengths as well as leather to make the guides, the strap Brass Buckles are of the Military roller pattern. I have also found that there is usually a choice of second user leather case handles though to purchase a vintage Styal new leather handle can be rather expensive. Handle D rings are always available in many sizes also in either Brass or steel.

Some time in the past I did a complete post on how to restore this case.

All the parts used in this restoration came from eBay.
