Did I read on this board that the Browing book by Ned Schwing bas bringing a preimum price. I have the opportunity to get one in the original plastic for a song. Just lookikng for information.

Yes, the book is selling on ebay for high to ridiculous prices, the highest I've seen is 240. I think you'll like it.

If you can get it for anywhere near the cover price or less, it's a very good reference to have. If you are interested in purchasing Browning Supers, it's a must have.

Far from being only a "plane spotting" book which of course it is, an excellent history of the vicissitudes (Latin for ups and downs)and survival strategies of a very important gunmaker. The unavoidable treatment of FN is also worth the price of admission. I'm not in a big hurry to sell mine for a four-fold profit.

Not enough technical info on the gun. It's an engraving and fancy wood pictorial. For the collector, a must. For the gun tweak, disappointing.
Ned's 21 book covers the GUN part better, and I was hoping the Superposed book would be it's equal.
I passed at the publishers price.

I'm seeing prices all over the place on various web sites. $29.99 up to $600. My bet is that the ones advertised for the low prices won't "ship within 2-3 days." I'm taking my Supers out of the safe to make room for the book.

Yes, after the first mention of the pricing bustout for the book on this and other BBSs, our friendly local good-ole-boy book dealer who attends every area show around here hiked his price from a $75 with "Out of Print!" hype on the wrapper up to $250 at the very next show. Doesn't take them long. KBM
