It seems that stress levels on this fine site are rising as of late. Attacks and seemingly all manner of incivility seem to exhibited with alarming frequency recently. I thought we all had more in common than not; lately the hostility has me wondering, and I have actually joined the fray in my aggravation and am already sorry for it.This is supposed to be about the joys of sharing knowledge and common interests. And, although I've never had the pleasure of meeting any of you, I truly admire and am humbled by a good number of you, for not only what you know but the genuine good feelings you express. I hope we don't ruin this. I for one will be sorry.

Sincerely
Rick

Don't beat yourself up Rick. Most of what is said on this, or any other internet board, is forgotten after a short period. Besides some people are just natural a--holes who think every point should be debated as a matter of life and death and every comment is directed at them. AS long as discussion sticks to guns it's alright, but get beyond that and you'd better assume the position. It's a tough crowd, but generally a good one.

I am in complete agreement. Everyone needs to lighten up. Hunting season is around the corner, my guns maybe could use some attention, so that's where my further attention will be turned.

In my humble opinion some of the comments to the recent "batman" (and certain other) post have been a bit over the top; regardless of how well intended they may have been. After reading some of those pointed "batman" comments, I was reminded of the words of Jesus "let he who is without sin cast the first stone"; for although I don't ever recall shooting a bat, I couldn't look anyone in the eye and lie with a straight face that I had never violated a single fish and game regulation either! I rather suspect, assuming everyone could be honest, that very few of those making the negative comments had not also "sinned" at least one time in their distant past.
Personally, life is already too complicated; and although I enjoy reading most of the posts on this educational and often entertaining forum, I don't find confrontation entertaining (when I want confrontation, I watch Bill O'Reilly).
And even though I have never met most of you gentlemen personally, I have the greatest respect for many of the regular posters to this forum; and am constantly amazed and intimidated by the depth of your collective knowledge. This forum has rightly earned a reputation as a solid source of sound information regularly visited by men willing to be generous with their time and words of encouragement. I sincerely hope that civility and positive atmosphere again become the order of the day lest we make some folks, be they old or new posters, a little "gun shy".

Joe:
I sincerely think that you should delete this last post before too many see it.
