I have been regular customer for 11 years. I did stop by at the new Gander Mtn. to see "1 Mil Three Forks Ranch collection" when it was available for viewing. That Mannlicher-stocked single sq. bridge Mauser .375 H&H by H&H with tang safety was just lovely.

Never know what you're gonna get at Dick's. With an advertised 10% off on 10 boxes, it's not uncommon to get 20% off on 20 boxes, etc. I've never tried it only because they rarely have enough, but I think it's entirely possible that 100 boxes could get you 100% off.

That $4.49 a box (10 boxes or more) for "AA or STS Premier Target Loads" deal a couple of years ago turned out to be even better when they forgot to limit it to the normal 12's and 20's in the flyer. I cleaned out two stores of every .410 and 28 ga. AA they had at $44.90 a flat.

Early on I didn't have much use for Dick's Sporting Goods, but I began to appreciate them more and more as they continued their plunge into previously unexplored depths of ineptitude.

Always looking forward to their next Sunday flyer.

I find Dick's to be well stocked but often scratch my head as to whom does the ordering and what planet they come from. I agree with the poor quality of Dick's "associates".
For example, I went in there last year at this time, just to burn a few minutes before another appointment.
I was surprised to see that they had AA 12-20-28 ga. on sale for $4.99 and another 10% if you purchased the case. I inquired if that was correct to the purple haired Gen-XYZ(?) clerk and was told it was.
I immediately bought all 12 cases that were in stock for the 28 gauge and had him help me hand truck them to my vehicle. Should I feel guilty?
