I have to agree with the above comments. This forum appears to have the most knowledgable participants about firearms in general. I personally don't mind the questions about firearms other than doubles but perhaps it would make sense to set up separate areas for rifles, pistols etc? Jim

I have to agree with Jim, A lot of these posts don't fall in the "double or other fine gun" catergory. They put OT in front of it, Indicating they know it's off topic and yet post it anyway..What are rules for anyway.. Maybe it's changing from a double gun forum to a "Good ole boy chatting forum" But it's all up to Dave, If it bothers him, he knows how to stop it.. JMHO...MDC

"If it says "OT" and you only want to read about doubleguns, if I were you, I wouldn't open it. KISS!" Bob.............i think the "KISS" part is totally out of line!

Give me a break!
Like nobody notices that some members not only discuss each others underwear and wardrobes, but they become irate if we try to talk doubles...even on a completely different thread.
It's called "jamming", like the military radio strategy.
It's one thing to discuss you're wardrobe, it's quite another to not allow others to discuss doubles on a system that's supposed to be for discussing doubles. Where are the moderators?

Fercrysakes! Where does all this OT crap come from? We've got T/C Hawken ML rifles, printing presses, T/C Contender pistols, pump guns on the classifieds! What happened to the topic of SxS guns, as the rule? ????There must be two people here useing the moniker "Jim Legg". There's one that happily contributed recently to OT threads about TC Hawken's, Paul Tibbets passing, and even offered to sell his Ford super duty and now there's this other Jim Legg asking "Where does all this OT crap come from?.........What happened to the topic of SxS guns, as the rule?". I'm confussed . Will the REAL Jim Legg, please step forward.

We ARE talking about Doubles here. Unfortunately it's about standards.

I learn a lot by looking at different guns. For example, did you know that Remi 31 Lt.wt. is balanced for excellent handling? Mine has 2 cylinders of wood measuring 1"x3.5" taken out of the butt. I always thought this was reserved for expensive SxS and O/U guns. I hate to admit it, but that Remi handles better then most of SxS I used to own.
