Wondering if anyone might have pressure levels for the 16 gauge Golden Pheasant loads by Fiocchi. Particularly product number 16GP5. This is a 3 1/4 dram equivalant 1 1/8 ounce load at a sizzling 1310 fps and I am told they are real thumpers, due mainly to the increased speed of that 1 1/8 oz load, but I have no idea at all about actual pressures. I am quite sure I am not going to run these through my nice old pre war German 16's, even with the Greener crossbolts, but I am still wondering which of my more modern guns might be suitable for these boomers. I guess I am wondering in particular about my 1970's vintage Spanish sidelocks in particular, namely a Victor Sarasqueta 7e and an AyA 53e. Any clues?

The 2007 Fiocchi catalog lists the following pressures:
16 Golden Pheasant 3 1/4dr, 1 1/8oz@ 1310fps- 10910psi
16 HV 3 1/8dr, 1 1/8oz@ 1300fps- 10270psi
16 FLD 2 3/4dr, 1 1/8oz@ 1185fps- 8890psi
16 GT 2 1/2dr, 1oz@ 1165fps- 6810psi

BUT actual pressure testing of the 16GT by Armbrust showed it to be 7500 psi.
We've had this debate on the 16ga site as to whether Fiocchi is reporting CIP pressure data. It was stated that they are doing the testing in their Ozark, MO plant and reporting SAAMI data.
