I guess I'd better check and make sure the barrel is rifled. If it isn't I'll have to register it as "any other weapon". Think there's any chance this is a Turnbull restoration?? No need for a pliers on the nose of the slide to assist in takedown as it may appear someone in the past has done. Well made pistols and they shoot and handle very nicely.

This is a pistol that was designed to be operated under adverse conditions and they do a credible job of doing just that. There are very few pistols from this period that are as reliable and well built as the Astra Model 21 and they were still carried and used in the WW II period.
