I just got a 20 gauge Fox that has 2 1/2" chambers. I load all of my own cartridges and currently load 2 3/4" shells in the advertised pressure range of 8500-9000 psi. It has been suggested that I can shoot those in the Fox. Does anyone else have a similar gun and do you load for it? One idea that came to mind was that I could possibly get a 2 3/4" load into a 2 1/2" hull with a rolled crimp. Also, can anyone give me a manufacturing year. The sn is 260613.

Snipe...can't comment on yours Qs much.
But I remember when I was searching a couple years ago for a 2 3/4" inch load for shooting a 20bore round ball through a rifled single shot, that I found some of the lowest pressure loads used Unique powder..about 14.5 or 15 grns

You probably can get your 2-3/4" loading in a 2-1/2" roll crimped hull. But, I see no problem shooting that 8500 PSI-2-3/4" load in your short chambered gun. I shoot low pressure 2-3/4" shells in my short chambered Damascus 20. However, I do have some 2-1/2" loads out for testing, and will use them if they come back as Low Pressure.
