A bit time consuming but the most accurate way is to pattern the gun. Put a very large pice of paper or cardboard targer at 40 yards from where you shoot. Shoot each barrel once at a separate target, find the largest mass of holes, draw a 30 inch circle around them. Count the holes in each target. divide the number of holes by the number of pellets in the load selected and determine the percentage of holes in the 30" circle. The percentage will tell you what you are shooting for choke.

Or less accurate but less time consuming, find a gun store or friend with a choke gauge and measure it.

If it has 26 inch barrels, it is almost surely IC/Mod
If 28 inch, Mod/Full.
best way is to pattern it, tho.

That is typically true; however I have a 20ga 311 with 28" barrels which I'm pretty sure are unaltered, and they that measure IC/IM. If you really care, find a good gauge or pattern it.

Much simpler way is to shoot at a measured 10 yards. Disregarding flyers, 7" = full choke, 10" = modified and 15" = improved cylinder. No pellet counting, etc. At 10 yards, it's easier to determine POI, as well. Source: The Shotgun Book, by JOC.
