Homeless Joe was really tore up that I lost my former Assistant, so I decided I better train another. And of course since I am in the Gun Biz, the first topic is gun safety, so we went to the range and checked her out on pistol, revolver, and shotgun.
First, a Colt Woodsman:





I think she likes it.



Then a Colt Series 80:









Then a first Gen SAA in 45 Long Colt:





Then a Model 88 in 243 Winchester,



Then a Dakota 76 in 375 Holland and Holland:


Then off to Big Sky Sporting Clays,with a Browning superlight where she managed to hit two in a row on occasion, not bad for the first day shooting.

I notice she had to change her pants right after shooting that 375 H&H.

Barry yOu ain't fooling me that's Lucy Lee from Charlie's Angel's...

Barry, I had a gunmaker friend in PA that took on such an assistant a few years ago. I hear he will get out in April of 2023. Murphy

Greg, she changed to avoid sunburn at the clays range.
And Joe, its not Lucy lee, I tried to get her, but she had a prior commitment.
And Murphy, you may want to choose your gunsmith more carefully, this fine young lady is 22, which I believe makes her legal to handle firearms in all fifty states.
I wish all young people were as interested in shooting as she is, it would insure our gun rights for at least a couple of generations.

More power to you. Young people should be involved in the gun trades. Our gun club, formed about 1932, has employed hundreds of young people who otherwise may not have been aware of the positive aspects of "gun". The comment about my gunmaker acquaintance was a tongue in cheek reference to his and your attractive assistants. When I first met the young lady I referred to, she was filing/shaping the reproduction brass grips on an aged machine gun. The gunsmith told me that she had started the project from scratch and was nearing the finished product. I wonder what she's doing today. Murphy

So Barry, living in Montana, how well do you know Bob Munden?

I just hope I'm around long enough to see my granddaughters as involved as your well-educated young assistant appears to be. We should all be as lucky as you, Barry, in finding one as eager and able.

Not to mention a drop dead knock out!
