Would someone know the fair market value for a 16 gauge SxS Lefever Nitro Special in fair/good condition? The gun has 28" barrels and the S/N is 297653. Any information would be appreciated.

George- Post your pictures on this site. This is a cherry Nitro Special and these guys are pretty good but reading's not their long suit. Your pictures should get them going.

Cary - like the idea of posting photos, but am having problems getting it to happen. If someone could help, I can forward photos to a specific email address.
It appears I could have under-estimated the condition and the gun might be rated "very good". Looking at the 2007 auction results posted on this site it appears they are worth around $500. Does this seem correct?

George_ I can't help with the pictures but if you can still get it for $350.00, grab it.

If you read the NRA definitions of "Fair' and "Good", which he said it was, the gun is probably worth $250.. But Condition is everything..If it's in excllent condition, then, $500 os more like it..MDC

These prices seem low. $190 for a nitro is a steal, even for a 12, let alone a 16! I have yet to see one on gunbroker worth buying for less than $400, usually more.

Fair price for GC 16ga Lefever NS with DTs in todays market is about $260. Few years back it would have been worth about $325. Right now it's a buyers market for stuff like this.

Roy's auction report for the first three months of 2008 showed DT 16's sold anywhere from $380 up to $600. I grant you that it may have gone down a bit since the economy bottomed but it's also hunting season. I would think a 16 in anything GOOD or above would get at least $400+
