That is really something else! I love it. Esp. the left side of the top lever. But all of it is great. Those scrolls are super!
And another picture for my files.

Superb as usual. Another winner from the Maestro.

Thanks IM. I did indeed notice the feathers on the breech balls (or fences or whatever the heck they are properly called) and the variations in scroll. Also, that those who don't take a close look at the top lever may easily dismiss it as just a feather shape, however an appreciative viewer will be deeply impressed with the extreme detail that Ken put into it. Really something. Not over done, certainly elegant, definitely beautiful and I wish you the best of luck with it.
Case colored or French Greyed when done??
Cheers
Stephen

Probably cased colored and then have the case colors mostly removed to reveal the engraving and give the gun the look of an old Parker

Very nice...I, too; like the what Ken has done with the breech balls and the top lever---distinctively cool! Please keep us posted on its progression.

As usual, Mr. Hurst, absolutely stunning. I continue to be amazed that anyone can be so smooth and precise, especially on those gorgous scrolls. Will anything else be added to the top side of the opening lever? Don't get me wrong, what's there is very nice, it just seems like a lot of open space just begging for some of KH's attention..

Thanks all. BPGuy --- the entire gun will be engraved. There will be bolino dogs on the sides with background scenes. The entire trigger plate will be a canvas for Cal. quail scene along with a certain fence post with a tangle of barbed wire wrapped around it . If room allows, I will place a posted sign on the post. Yes, there will be scroll covering the top tang too. The breech ends of the bbl's will have a wedge of scroll on each tube.

Beutiful work Ken. I would like to see what you do with the model 17 you have. Is it going to be engraved like the F grade model 17? Pete

Mr.Pete ---- I had planed on doing a modified "F" grade . The origional layout would be the same but done at a higher level And, the critters would all be inlayed in gold. Background in the scroll will be lightly relieved to give added depth to the piece -- however, not as deep as the Germanic engr.
