Looking at a gun at WLMoore, however my experience with Emglish doubles is limited. Do you think the 7k is a fair price. The gun was built in thr 1920,s.

I see an Army & Navy grade three SLE in restored condition. A&N is a Brand Value level three name (BV3). The Original Quality grade is three (OQ3). Restored is Current Condition level five (CC5). BV3-OQ3-CC5 = $3150 in my charts. Now, this is a value, and not a price. Value is for a general population and price is for a specific gun. There seems to be a developing class of guns that are near "remanufactured." I am yet to see enough of them sell to have a good idea of how they will ultimately be priced.

I have no issue with WLM's price. You would need to have an in detail discussion to determine exactly what "Total restoration" means relative to this gun. Another benchmark would be to consider this gun if it were in pristine condition: BV3-OQ3-CC1 = $10,450. The price quoted would require a BV3-OQ3-CC2.2; OQ2.2 would be just under "Limited use - slight finish wear, little shooting."

Hope that helps some.

No.

I would suggest you stick to all original, or mostly original, guns - especially English stuff.

That Bland is a low-grade gun, all tarted up and warmed over. I think it's $3500 piece.

We're in a buyer's market and I think it's only going to get better (or worse, depending on the end you're on).

Rocketman, how would an unrestored bar action gun like THIS compare using your value calculator?

yea that Hope and Change sure is doing the trick !
Who voted for this again?????

I would call them and see what they could do on it,they probably took it in trade on a better gun so there is room for sure.

He's had less than one year to fix 8 years of gross mismanagement.

Give the guy a break.

OWD: This pretty much describes you, from the encyclopedia:

IGNORANCE is the state in which one lacks knowledge, is unaware of something or chooses to subjectively ignore information. The word "IGNORANT" is an adjective describing a person in the state of being unaware.------

PA-

You had to look that up?

Hahaha

Take care,

OWD

BTW: for definitions, try dictionaries - preferably my favorite, the OED.
