Oscar Gaddy comes to mind. Oscar was a fine man, a gentleman and a scholar, but I did not like his work, especially his case colors. JR

I don't think the money put into restoring an old double is ever recovered. The added value is always less than what it took to restore it, regardless of which craftsman did the work.
Repairs have a chance of paying off sometimes.
Best,
Mike

Atkin Grant and Lang seem to be doing well with their restored guns.

mike: for the most part, what you say is true. however, i have had quite a few doubles restored by ed lander over the years. for the most part, i have made a reasonable profit on them. old ed does fine work at reasonable cost.

The taste of poor quality lingers long after the cheap price is forgotten.........

looks pretty nice. bright, with swirls, much like original ithaca colors. no tiger strips. no dull, muted look. a little more red would be even better. notice how the irregular surfaces resulting from the engravings help hide perceived imperfections. but, then appearance is not everything. one must consider the bouquet and of course the taste must be to perfection. and, it must age well. looks like at least an 8 1/2 to me....

*********************** I can't stop laughing.
A true sign of mental illness is any gun owner who would vote for an Anti-Gunner like Joe Biden.
