Anyone here planning on attending this vintage shoot at Gallatin Sporting Clays 30 miles east of Bozeman, MT June 9th & 10th? I've shot it the past two years. It's a good time meeting guys and seeing the old guns shoot. If interested contact Hill Rod & Gun Co. at 406-585-2228 for information.

Yes. A couple of us from the SLC area will be there. Went in 2010, had a nice time. Loved the venue, targets were great, and met some cool people. I just hope we get on a fun squad that enjoys shooting and doesn't care so much about scores and what order people shoot in. Some of the people there were a bit stuffy and wound a tad too tight for my taste, but overall a fun shoot.

It's a great shoot for Vintage gun users. Unfortunately, I guess, we'll be in Sweden at the time of the shoot. It's worth traveling for. The Sacajewea Hotel in Three Forks is close and has wonderful food and fine vintage rooms. Charlie Pfleger of Hill Rod and Gun sponsors it and does a fine job.

I'll be there again and look forward to seeing the fine shotguns and hitting a few targets. The group I shoot with is pretty loose and enjoys life and breaking a few targets along the way. With a little luck the weather will be warmer for a great shoot. Ron

Was there last year as part of the Lefever group and had a great time. This year conflicts with the Uncle Dan Cup at the Northeast SxS just a week earlier. However, a suggestion for future meets. The area is also one of the greatest flyfishing spots in the country. How about having it later in the year when the rivers are low enough to fish? That would make a great combined trip. I have to second Daryl's comments on the Sacajawea Hotel in Three Forks.

Dustin, Feel free to join me and the one or two fellows I sometimes shoot there with. I've attended all of the Classics since it's inception......with the first five years being mandatory actually. The upside is that we're so mediocre in our shooting, we can't afford to be stuffy. The downside is that I was born and raised in Price, Carbon Co, Ut. which might make for a culture clash with you SLC guys Offer is there, if you choose. All Best, Rob

Robert Harris is being modest. He started the Nimrod Classic. If you get a chance to shoot with him, you will be very lucky.

Mr. Harris, We'd like that alot and thank you for your nice gesture and offer. We'd be happy to shoot on a squad that puts having a fun time ahead of scores, trophies, etc. Count us in. I'll send you a pm.

It has been a couple of years since the Mrs. & I were there for the Nimrod at Polson. We had a great time! Worth the drive from Minnesota. Plus, we had the chance to meet up with my old friend Buzz! Anybody seen Ron Hunter? Christmas card came back, hoping he is OK. [/img] Here is my squad from Nimrod #2, what fun! I see Ron O.,Daryl H. and Robb have posted too. You fellas are going to have break a few extra for me, Just had a vertebra removed in my neck and an implant in it's place. So, no driving or shooting for a while. Bill

The Nimrod Classic was this past weekend. Another grand time despite the cool rainy weather on Saturday and the wind staggering the targets on Sunday. I shot with LeFusil and Tim for two events. Got to see some familiar faces from prior years. This was my third time attending. Had a pretty good turnout despite the weather predictions.
