I seldom agreed with him (except on beer, brunetts, and Texas sunsets) but, haven't seen a post from him, here, or elsewhere in a while.

Sad news, I spoke with Don's wife tonight and she told me that he is not long for this world. He is in a Hospice facility, resting well and does not seem to be in much pain

I missed meeting up with Don in May as he was headed toward some medical appointment and I was working in Dallas. Sorry to hear of his condition.

Don and I bumped heads over choices of turkey loads on another forum. He loved chasing toms with his old hammergun that was a family heirloom. His comments were sparse and to the point. I wish him comfort and peace.
