Gnomon - thanks for that suggestion. Based on a discussion I had with them, B&K Sales in Natick, MA has established a relationship with B&P and will process and receive orders for B&P. So if you live near Natick, that is another work-around.

Interesting that they have a distributor in Mass now - I guess that's in response to their perceived problems in shipping directly.

Those of us who shoot older or European doubles know and use BP but I wonder if they have any volume with other shotgunners? I've always been surprised that BP shells aren't stocked by higher-end gunshops.

Of course, the crushing irony of it all is that the same state legislators who proudly claim MA as the home of the Lexington and Concord battlefields - battles started in response to British attempts to confiscate colonists' arms and ammo - have no problem depriving MA residents of the same rights those colonists sought to defend.

The only consolation I can find is that gun ownership is rising in MA and perhaps we can gain some political leverage from that to bring some sanity back.

In my experience, as a Pennsylvania resident who lives within sight of New Jersey, I cannot buy a long gun there and take delivery without a NJ firearms ID card. A long gun must, instead be sent to a PA dealer who will take delivery and then transfer it to me.

Federal law allows me to buy a long gun in NJ, NJ law does not. In fact, NJ law does not permit me to buy a pre-1899 long gun, an antique, not a firearm, by Federal law, there.

MA is probably as bad, or worse.

Well, guess what? We cannot even get BRASS cartridge shells shipped to Massachusetts. That's empty brass I'm talking about. I'm starting to reload again after a 10 year lag and I find that in the interim a stupid law was passed here that prohibits ANY PART THAT CAN BE USED IN CREATING A USEABLE FIREARM CARTRIDGE.

A sympathetic member here volunteered to have the brass shipped to him and then he mailed them to me.

When the customer service rep at Buffalo Arms told me that I could not believe it. It seemed so INANE. But that's our state.

Try buying ammo or ammo components from Midway, too.
ps - There are some good guys out there. RST is one, and they make a fantastic product.

RST not only makes a fantastic product, its the only non-toxic shell I buy now, but I think they just said 'Eat $hit" to the Massachuettes' Attorney General. Of course, there's not much she can do to a Pennsylvania based company.

GOAL has filed legislation to authorize internet sales of ammo to MA residents - if optimism can triumph over experience, maybe it will go somewhere.

Hamilton,

Has there been any movement on this filed legislation in Mass., or is it a dead issue now with libtard business as usual.......?...

You don't suppose do you... that they just want their gahdam sales tax?

That's coming down the pike... possibly on the federal level.

Michigan is debating an internet sales tax law now, in spite of the SCotUS ruling from 1992.

The states are 'entitled' to the money you know, it's rightfully theirs after all.
