Anybody know how or if the ejectors on my 20 Ga. Victor Sarasqueta Zephyr 4E can be disabled? They may be fine in a hot corner (a place rarely occupied by me) but for skeet or casual target shooting they are rather a pain as they toss the empties 6 feet away. Thanks loads, Chopperlump

Chop Rabbit had a method for his AYA #2 (a H&H copy). Possibly, your VS is of similar design and can use the method.

Chopper:
Check out p. 48-9 of G. T. Garwood's Second Gun Book for description of method for disabling Southgate mechanism on AyA sidelocks. I had some pix up on a similar "seeking advice" thread a few weeks ago. I have no luck at all with the current search function so doubt you'll find them. I should caution that Garwood states that the AyA ejector mech has "an additional part" (a central lever) which other makers' Southgate ejector trains may not. If this isn't an applicable solution, you could remove the v-springs.

Chopper, Jacks info is correct, the Sarasqueta ejectors do not have the trip in between the springs, at least on the 2 that I have. Removing the springs appear to be the only way to easily disable them, make sure you label them left and right.
