I have a 20g Trap Grade LC Smith that I'm eventually going to have the metal refinished due to light surface pitting/frosting. It will likely need the original engraving re-cut.
I'm fishing for some recommendations.
Regards Chuck

Chuck, Don't know if he does this type work but our old friend Ken Hurst comes to mind.

You should talk to the people in the FEGA booth in Las Vegas next week.
I went the opposite direction with a D M Lefever cross bolt in very poor, already restocked once condition, and had a full custom made. I understand that you're starting in a very different place!

A good friend of mine had Art's do some clean on up on a Remington w/hand engraving and moderate pitting. He was extremely happy. I believe Art worked for Browning during the salt wood era, so he has some experience w/this type of work. And, some interesting videos of his work. Fun to watch. http://www.artsgunshop.com/site_map_MediaCenter_Video.htmGood luck!

I don't think you can find an engraver here for your gun. None of these guys can do that bad of work that you see on a Smith Trap grade.

For those unaware, this is indeed one of those "what could they possibly have been thinking" stick figure engraving patterns, and could benefit from some serious refinement, and possibly suspenders
