I would have guessed M. Sch. like one seen in DGJ Nr. 26 Summer 2005 Volume 8, No.2 and is on page 14. There was a Mortiz Schilling but I wonder if Max Schleenstein used it or if the M. Sch. as seen on examples was his. Serial numbers of those Dalys are in the 26k range. If I'm not mistaken Mr. Hallquist has a Daly with a 1924 date. Let me see if I can locate it: maybe from August 1924 and a serial number in the 11k range?

Beautiful shotgun. Great find! Love the dog engraved trigger guard and scrolled barrels.

Yeah, the English Perter looks like the one previously posted. This isn't much of a mystery. Engravers "didn't get out much.", then as today, and rely on pictures and whatever, including previous work. Today, we have the advantage of providing our engravers with artwork that helps them to make our guns "anotomically correct". The engravers can't do that without help.

what a lovely crisp looking gun, lovely cc, engraving & wood.That trigger dog looks so fluffy, sweet.
Man those old Dalys are gorgeous.
I , for one, would be very happy to have that Gun as my room mate for the night, give her a fondle for me/us ,lol
