I saw that one. Very nice wood, but short LOP and lots of drop. And the second screw through the serial number on the trigger guard tang is not original, despite the claims of the seller.
A true sign of mental illness is any gun owner who would vote for an Anti-Gunner like Joe Biden.

My memory may have been wrong, won't be the first time. I don't want to wrongly accuse anyone of wrong-doing, so have deleted the original post.

I don't remember the details but there was considerable discussion about GunsbySally in the past on this forum. I think she was operating out of Las Vegas then IIRC.

Interesting how the same and how different the engraving on my CE-Grade in the 30xxx range is from the engraving on this gun. This gun has quite a bit more engraving on the bottom of the frame than my gun, but my gun has four times as much engraving on the metal tip in the forearm, but has the bakelite dog's head in the middle of the forearm. My gun has a great trigger guard scene of a dog with a fowl in its mouth in a marsh scene, while the gun in question has an arthritic fowl that looks like it was suspended from a clothesline on its trigger guard marsh scene!! The gun in question has a line outlining the wings (?) on the barrels and mine doesn't. On my gun LEFEVER ARMS CO. is engraved on top of the right barrel and FINE DAMASCUS on the left. The gun in question has FINE DAMASCUS on the right barrel and STEEL on the left. My gun has engraved butt plate screws and this gun doesn't.
Lefevers could become addictive for their variations!!

I remember that one. I think it was Dr. Bob complaining about the seller reneging on a deal last year...Geo
OK I was wrong, it wasn't the same gun or more importantly the same seller!

That Damascus on this "CE" looks mighty similar to those on my "G" in a 28,xxx SN range. An FE in a similar SN range & a much earlier E both have higher grades of damascus than this gun. I would be very susp[icious of this one.

Credit where credit is due: Ms K fine jewelers of Utah was the lady that gave bogus dealings with a 20 ga B grade LeFever in Vegas
Guns by Sally has listed on Gunbroker from PA for years now. I can't vouch either way for her reputation as a seller. She often has almost tempting pieces, in almost tempting condition, and only occasionally almost temping prices.
