Why not list the gun on the For Sale section of this Site and include your contact info. (its not on your profile). The Lefever is out of my league (unless you want $800 bucks for it), but somebody here will likely make you an offer you can't refuse...Geo

Wish I had the spare scratch to buy that one. Good luck!

Could this be a Miller trigger? I know the shape of the trigger shoe is not characteristic Miller, but the LSR, depending on its appearance, may be Miller stamping. I am not familiar with the style of stamping on an original Lefever tang, but a good picture of the stamp would clear this up. The forward position is not common on the Miller, but there are some out there. My PHE Parker pigeon gun has a forward position Miller. Not all Millers are stamped "Miller" on the shank, but most are. Does Elliott illustrate the top tang stamping of an original Lefever single trigger gun?

I have a very late rear position factory single trigger, probably in the final year of Syracuse Lefever production before the sale to Ithaca. The single trigger works very well. The last catalogue produced by the Syracuse Lefever company devotes 3 pages to the single trigger. Giving it that much play in the catalogue suggests that they were confident that they had gotten the kinks out of it at that point. Mine is an E grade with Krupp barrels and, like Ron's, has a clamshell release. Rich
