BARREL BROWNERS:I HAVE EXPERIMENTED WITH SEVERAL SOLUTIONS IN THE PAST AND HAVE FOUND THAT THE MARK LEE BROWNING GIVES THE EASIEST NICE BROWN COLOR. BELOW IS A 1830 VINTAGE percussion bbl that I JUST FINISHED.

I prefer wood to plastic, leather to nylon, waxed cotton to Gore-Tex, and split bamboo to graphite.

I think about the same as the others, except an inorganic chloride
replacing Mercuric Chloride

Yes, I have done several. B&W. Look back at the LC Smith colors on the other thread about Black an white. I use Logwood and Ferrous Sulfate in hot or boiling water
