I tried my M37 Ithaca Centennial and it clicked but did not fire at the range. I took it apart. The firing pin is broken where the retainng pin holds it in. I was wondering what the little cylinder of steel was doing rolling around my bench the other day. Now I know what it is.
Does anyone know if there is more than one type or size of firing pin for this gun? Does it need to be fitted or is it just a drop in? Anyone know where to get one?
Thanks, Milt

Milt, I have some. Think they are drop ins. Never had one break. Send me $5.00 and you address and I will get one to you.

Milt, Some one on E-Bay just listed 2 M-37 firing pine startins at $.99. Perhaps you will want to check that out.

No, I appreciate that but if you don't mind I would prefer you mail it tomorrow.
Thanks, Milt

About 40 years ago I broke the firing pin on my Model 37 (probably from dry-firing without a snap cap). I took it to a 'smith and asked if he could get a replacement for it. He said "Yes, but it will be quicker, easier and cheaper to just make one." So he did.
