With some patience and careful shopping one can pick up British hammered doubles in very good condition with Damascus barrels for well under $2000. I have a Charles Boswell in 12g and a W&C Scott in 16g and paid well under $2000 for each one
I have become addicted to English hammered shotguns to the detriment of my wallet.

uh cash...the bss that i have listed for sale on gunbroker is a 12 gauge gun with rare 30" long barrels...unlike the 20 ga bss guns with 26" short barrels, these 12 gauge bss guns with 30" barrels are wonderfully balanced eight pound guns, with a lively feel to them...sounds like you have never had one of these rare guns in your hands.

If we are talking new here I'd say the Uggie sold by LCS, Dickinson by Cabelas and other similar. In the Uggie, at least, you can also get a 16 or 20 for the same money.

....you should even be able to find one without the cheek piece and swivels... don't overlook the model 8 either......

any graded ithaca in 16 or 20 gauge is a wonderful bird gon...

Lads, not looking for vague opinions of worth, idea was to put up reasonably/low priced guns that seemed good & were actually Guns for sale with links.
I dont need another Gun...but some people starting out might want a sub 2000 gun
I guess my idea isn't gonna fly,perhaps my description was lacking
