French guns (guild and otherwise) such as Manufrance Robust offer solid guns for well below $2,000 and closer to $1,000.00. Ithaca SKB 100, NID, Beretta O/U's and Sterlingworths.

Hi Bill , Yes it is kinda fun, thought it might be good for folk looking for an entry level price Gun..if you think 2000 is about all you can afford...glad someone got it Happy New Year to all franc You'd have to look hard to find an Ithaca SKB sxs that's priced over $2,000. I can think of one I saw not too long ago, but it was a 280 20ga NIB. Not many guns at least 40 years old that are still NIB.

Lads, not looking for vague opinions of worth, idea was to put up reasonably/low priced guns that seemed good & were actually Guns for sale with links. I dont need another Gun...but some people starting out might want a sub 2000 gun I guess my idea isn't gonna fly, perhaps my description was lacking franc Here's a nicely restored pre-war 20ga ejector, opening bid is $1995, no takers yet. Pre War 20ga I kind of like the looks of this older Francotte. Damascus Francotte

Here is a "restored" one I thought went for a reasonable amount of money recently. Given the ample wall thickness on the 2 Greener's I have, I wasn't too concerned about wall thickness on this one despite some refinishing over pitting in the barrels. Think this would have made a nice first shooter for someone. Looks decent and should perform well. http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=520665635
