Dick,

I'm happy that you have "no better experience anywhere" than with CSMC. They can & do produce some very nice guns but my experiences were not up to what I have come to expect when I order a bespoke gun.

I'll not be so crass as to indicate if I spent a little or a lot with them, but the experiences did & will prevent me from ordering another gun from them & I know some other people who have similar feelings.

I still do buy an occasional accessory item from them & will continue to do so.

That's a shame as there are only so many people that can or will order a bespoke gun and there is plenty of other options.

So Dick won't need to put up with you doubling down about being "so crass", I'll tell you: this is a passive-aggressive cheap shot.

Crass?
You Posted you spent "some money" to give credence to your Post, I Posted I spent a Lot of money to validate my Post.
I get sick and tired of each time someone Posts a query about CSMC, you and others come out of the woodwork to Post your negative opinions.
The OP asked nothing about opinions of CSMC but was a question. Your response was 'Trolling'!
Make a deal, I won't respond if you keep your negative Posts' to yourself unless someone ask about an opinion of CSMC!-Dick

I spoke to Lou this week about a 20 gauge with an extra set of 16 gauge barrels. Unfortunately, the 16 is on its own frame.

Dick,

I'll stand by my "crass" comment. I really wanted to say that my initial experience with CSMC prevented me from spending "a lot more money" with them since I really like their concept of reproducing bespoke versions of American classics like the Fox & Winchester 21 guns but I didn't post that since I thought some people might view my using the term "lot of money" as "crass".

As far as a deal with you on negative posts, I'll continue to post both negative & positive comments re. my experiences in the firearms community as I see fit & I encourage others to do so as well. People have varying experiences with gunmakers, gunsmiths & equipment & I personally find both negative & positive comments useful and pertinent to this forum.

I'm proud of you for standing up for yourself, Brittany Man. This Dick guy brags all the time about how much money he's spent at CSMC. He's obviously spent so much money that he has to defend his poor purchases since this is an open website and any sort of negative comment/press, such as CSMC makes replicas of the original Win Model 21, rightfully diminish the value of his investment in a reproduction. He brags about spending a whole bunch of money and then defends CSMC under all circumstances, and verbally chastises (really attacks) anyone who does not agree with him on this issue. In Dick's mind, his opinion is the only one that matters. He's chastised me over the exact same issue in the past. Well, I still wouldn't buy even a box of shotgun shells from CSMC, let alone one of their reproductions, no matter what dick dup thinks.

You and your friend Brittany Man are what's wrong with Forums.
Anytime a subject is raised, no matter what the Post, question or statement, no matter what the Topic, you default to your age old grievance.
The OP asked a question about the Model 21 section of the CSMC website.
You both respond with negative Post's of CSMC that have NOTHING to do with the OP question!
You then both attack anyone who begs to offer an opinion that differs from your opinion or that questions the relevance of your Post to the OP.
I have no problem if someone asks an opinion of a company and thier products and someone responds but to constantly Post the same negative information when it's not relative to the OP is denigrating.
I have not Posted such inflammatory words as "poor purchases" description.
Grow up.
For others that read this Thread and my Post, if you don't support these negative knee jerk reactions and personal attacks, Post your thoughts, other wise this forum will go the way of many.

While I do like CSMC guns, I would be very cautious about buying one. I say this as a person who owns, and has family members and friends who own a total of 10 CSMC guns. Nearly all of the guns have had issues. And the issues are not all the same. Buldged barrels, broken stock due to triggers doubeling, wrong LOP, poor bluing, cases that don't fit, etc. One gun was delivered with such poor workmanship that it was sent back twice, and finally replaced with a brand new gun, that still wasn't perfect. I've shot multiple A-10's, multiple RBL's, Inverness's, and even the M-21 O/U. I really enjoy the feel of their guns, but would be very leary of ordering one. It's ashame to, because I LOVE the looks of their Fox guns.

There you go again, Dick, chastising again. We are all entitled to our opinions regarding CSMC, and I developed mine several years ago after dealing with these clowns. No, my sentiment is not 'knee jerk', nor are my comments, but whatever. I guess because you had a defunct Model 21 website, your opinion of CSMC and their reproductions matters more than the opinion of everyone else. If we all had dealings with CSMC like what you describe, I doubt if there would be negative comments thrown out there. Well, that does not appear to be the case, and I'm guessing Brittany Man and I are not alone out there with negativity in regard to CSMC.
