Would anyone have a reference to tell me when a S. Grant # 3322 hammergun was made?

Thank a lot for the date. I went out and shot it today in a round of Sporting Clays. It is a 10 ga that has been chamber sleeved to 12 ga. Cyl bore and non rebounding locks. Near unbelieveable how 1 oz loads in a cyl bore breaks targets.

You're quite welcome. I got the date from Nigel Brown's book "British Gunmakers". It has a good deal of useful information. There are two volumes, the first concentrates on London makers, and the second is dedicated to Birmingham, Scottish, and other regional makers.

Nice gun! I recently bought a Stephen Grant hammerless sidelock myself. Grant made some very fine guns.

IC is murder on clay birds even when that bird really gets out there you can get a nice starburst break if you point the gun right. I only shoot 7/8 ounce loads in a side by side for 12 and 20 gauge, and it smashes them if I do my part.

Very pretty gun. Did you have the gun sleeved? If so who did you use?

Thanks

The chambers only are sleeved to 12 ga leaving the 10 ga bore which gives a wonderful pattern with a cyl bore.
Briley of Houston did it.

These are non-rebounding locks. Has anyone had non-reboundings converted to rebounding and Who?

Nobody in the last 125 years! Seriously,non-rebounders are great once you get used to them. Always safe in the half cock position, and much easier and quicker to go from half-cock to full cock than a rebounder, before shooting. Nice gun, never met a Stephen Grant I didn't like.
Have fun. Terry
