We are fortunate a citizen/businessman like Donald Trump was willing to run for POTUS.

Anyone who doubts Donald Trump is not qualified for this job after witnessing a complete poseur like Obama for the past 7 1/2 years has no brains. He is EXACTLY what we need right now, a tough, straight talking business man who loves his country, wants to put people back to work by bringing jobs back to the US of A, control our borders, and will not take shit from our enemies.

The constant onslaught on traditional values by the media, academia (yes, the Bernie thugs jumping up and down on police cars are the proteges and logical outcome of leftist, socialist professors) and the legislating courts are harmful enough, but add the politicizing of the Attorney General's office (and no, it does not matter if Hillary "intended" to misplace classified material concerning the charge of espionage) reckless abandonment of the Constitution by executive order, debt levels which are perilous enough that a two percent increase in the interest rate would sink us (there is already talk of defaulting strategically) and the dangers to the Constitution and the economy by the Spendocrats, and it becomes apparent that our Federal government has grown so large and intrusive that a patriot might consider the ultimate nuclear political option--a massive national tax boycott. Maybe that would stop them thinking that we just have to take whatever they dish out? But I also wonder if the swing vote to carry this election will be the "undocumented" Democrats...pardon the rant...Steve

BTW, I wonder why it is illegal for a citizen to falsify a statement to the authorities, but it is not illegal for them to lie to us?

Well, Trump did make nice with Megyn on TV last night.

Anyone actually look at Trump's record on guns? Look at the people to whom he's given money? He's probably given more $ to the Clintons and Rahm Emmanuel than everyone here, combined, has given to the NRA. Where do the Clintons and Rahm Emmanuel stand on guns? What are the laws on guns in Chicago, where Emmanuel is the mayor? (And how are those tough gun laws working out? Murder capital of the country.)

There were some pretty solid pro-gun candidates for the Republican nomination. Scott Walker, for example, made concealed carry a real possibility for hundreds of thousands of Wisconsin residents. (I was one of them.) Donald Trump only decided that he needed to be pro-gun because he knew any other position would mean he wouldn't have the proverbial snowball's chance in hell of getting the nomination.

People excuse Trump for the money he's given to liberals and anti-gun politicians by saying "Well, that's part of doing business." Really? So it's OK to compromise your principles--assuming you're pro-gun to start with--in order to make yourself more money? And yet those same people, who are willing to give Trump a pass for compromising the principles he now claims to hold, will come down like a ton of bricks on any politician who compromises his principles for political motives. "Hey, you see what Senator (fill in the blank) did? He's nothing but a RINO." But we seem to give Trump a pass because, after all, it's just business.

You want to know what Trump really stands for? Follow the money.

I wish we had a really GOOD choice between the only two people who have a real chance of being elected president. Vote for whomever you want, or none of the above. But don't stick your head in the sand where Trump is concerned. He has a real record, and it's not a pretty one when it comes to supporting anti-gun liberals. With money, not just words.

Wollman Rink was closed in 1980 for a proposed two years of renovations at $9.1 million. Six years and $13 million later, after the problem-plagued work was still not completed by the city, Donald Trump persuaded Mayor Ed Koch in 1986 to let him complete the work in four months at $2.5 million in order to have it open by the end of the year. Koch initially objected to Trump's proposal when Trump offered to pay for the renovations himself with the stipulation that he be allowed to run the venue and an adjacent restaurant and use the profits to recoup his costs. Public pressure prompted Mayor Koch to reverse his position. The rink reopened to the public on November 13, 1986, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and press conference attended by Koch and Trump, covered by national evening broadcast television news. Total cost of renovations by Trump came in under budget at $2.25 million.

Don't worry, he won't stay home. But after the heat he took for admitting to "proudly" voting for Obama twice, I don't think he wishes to show his hand this time. A couple others already have though, but they will still tell you with a straight face that they are not anti-gun. As I've said before, supporting an extreme anti-gunner and claiming to be pro-gun is as absurd and dishonest as an abortion doctor claiming to be pro-life.

Then there are those who will coyly act as if they will reject Hillary, but they will spend most of their time criticizing the only GOOD, if not GREAT, choice we have to preserve our gun rights. They will advise you to follow Trump's money trail but never advise you to follow the money that went to the Clinton Foundation. They will openly criticize actual video of Hillary telling serial lies, and compare the veracity of that to conspiracy theories about who shot JFK... after bloviating once again about their Intelligence Analysis abilities.
