Thanks for the follow up comment Gil. The only reason I brought up that particular crime was to contrast the difference between violent and non-violent crime. I don't believe all crime under any given category is equal, but both recidivism and ideological equivocation of unequal crime seems to matter, to me.

and gun laws at the state level, as the majority of citizens of each state desire?
