This does happen to be one of the nicer ones I've seen (Cabela's did have the stocks refinished in oil for that first batch of guns they received), and the price has gone up somewhat since my purchase. I am seeing $2 to $3K is the range they're trading at now (somewhat less for the single gauge option).
Cabela's paid for the service work on the "new" gun (which included a slightly wanky ejector) and everything seems to work just fine now. I simply wanted a gun that would digest Walmart ammo and still be nice and light for a long days carry with the dog. Most 28s don't fit me very well, but this one does (14 3/4 LOP and 28-inch tubes). The safety is non-automatic and it is a drawbolt gun, but no matter. It gets the job done.
